Innovative School Playground and Neighborhood Park

Star Meadows Park is a seven-acre park adjacent to a neighborhood elementary school. Our design team worked with the Town of Erie and the Boulder Valley School district to share this site equally for residents and students.

The park has a 9,000 sq.-ft. central plaza with three custom picnic shelters, game tables, and swing benches. There is plentiful seating at picnic tables and a series of seat walls.

Inclusive Play Environment

The play areas accommodate all ages and abilities and highlight contemporary play pieces such as disc swings, sculptural play structures, a climbing half-moon rock, and an Apollo spinner.

There is a trail system throughout the park that links to the neighboring school and regional trails, a post-tension concrete basketball court, and a natural turf field.

See the interactive map for highlights of Star Meadows Park construction.
