Vista Peak High School (P-20 Campus)

Aurora, CO

The campus is planned to host a preschool through eighth-grade school, a high school and a future community college. The P-8 and high school projects were designed with a goal of overall sustainability, and should achieve LEED gold ratings when complete. The campus strives to tie all three schools together, while providing each with its own sense of identity. Four architecture firms in two joint ventures designed the P-8 and the high school. Design Concepts and JVA, Inc. (civil engineers) worked for both sets of architects to tie the sites together. “The campus will be a cutting-edge model for 21st Century education, where students will participate in career pathways to prepare for college, careers and overall success in life.” (Daily Journal, September 2, 2009).
