This small town near Highway 52 and I-25 has responded to the same "growing pains" as many other communities. The Preliminary Development Plan and Plat for the Saddleback Community was just unanimously approved in July 2002. Saddleback has 540 lots over 150 acres, and will be built by local builders. Lot sizes with mountain views range from 7,700-14,000 s.f. for single-family homes, 5,000 s.f. for patio homes and 3,300 s.f. for townhomes., with lot sizes ranging from 5,000 s.f., 3,300 s.f., to 7,700-14,000 s.f. Guidelines are in place to outline certain design standards. Planned amenities include a community center with clubhouse, parks, and a regional trail along the golf course.
