Description: Design Concepts prepared Master Plans for both of these parks, each approximately 86 acres.

"East" (The Meadows) Regional Park is considered an active park and contains adult and child soccer fields, baseball fields, a championship-sized baseball field, small RV camping for youth sport camps, picnic facilities, playgrounds, community green for farmer's market, 4th of July celebrations and art walks/ marketplace. Residential housing borders one side of the park, while Cherry Creek is on the other. Part of the site is a protected zone for the endangered Preble Mouse species, so the design was sensitive to this habitat. The park also includes two facilities scheduled for future recreational activities such as leisure ice or swimming.

"West" (Liberty Village) Regional Park is considered the more passive park with limited active elements, including a recreation center and basketball courts, bocce ball, horseshoe courts playground and water play area. Other elements include a frisbee golf course, open air amphitheater and stage, xeric gardens from ranger station / museum, one unprogrammed or formal soccer field. Use of the natural drainageways through the site will be part of the design. Many trails are available for off-leash dogs, mountain biking, and mountain step challenge. Youth camping and geo-cache courses can also be enjoyed here.
