In 2003, Design Concepts completed construction documents for Phase 6 of Longmont's city-wide trail system, St. Vrain Greenway. This 1.9 mile extension of new trail corridor along St. Vrain Creek includes 4 bridges and an underpass. In addition, Design Concepts facilitated public meetings for a new park and a section of controversial trail along a mobile home park. The project involved coordinating access with multiple owners and a ditch company. A new drop structure will allow kayaks to use the creek in the future. The project was designed through construction documents for both a current and future phase of buildout. The greenway runs between 3 ponds, used separately for wildlife viewing, dog park access, and children's fishing.
Phase 7 is currently under construction.
