| Description: |
Bear Creek High School is a newly constructed high school complex which was built on the site of the old campus. Because the site functioned as a fully-occupied high school through all of the construction activities, the project took over 2 years and multiple phases to complete.
The site was designed to have the feeling of a college campus, with a grand central pedestrian plaza surrounded on three sides by curved building walls on one end, and a plaza for athletic field use at the other, connected by a tree-lined central walkway promenade. Formal and informal gathering areas are provided throughout the site. The site offers many athletic opportunities, including football, 400 meter track, soccer, baseball, softball, tennis, and a synthetic turf multi-use field. The project architect was an MOA Architectural Partnership/RTA Architects joint venture for Jeffco Public Schools. |
