Bloomington is an NRPA Gold Medal Winner and provides a very high level of service to its residents. One of the primary focuses of this plan was to look at how the City could fund and maintain this high level of service. The planning process performed a public input process, demographic trends analysis, facility inventory and analysis, creation of GIS digital database, benchmarking similar communities, funding alternatives, recreation program inventory and analysis, cost recovery analysis, update goals, policies, and standards, partnership opportunities, organizational development recommendations, and create recommendations for both active and passive use lands as well as recreation facilities for the City located in central Indiana. Team members included Design Concepts, and Geowest.
