Description:

Lisle is an established community in the greater Chicago metropolitan area. It has a stable population and its services are often compared to neighboring, more wealthy communities. The Park District needed help dealing with adding recreation to infill development and increasing walkability through bridging barriers. In addition, the department needed guidance about operational sustainability. The Plan provides a planning process and implementation plan for the next 10 years to guide the DistrictÃs recreation programming, land acquisition and development, park renovations and improvements, facility enhancements, marketing, fee structures, and use of alternative sources of revenue. Team members included Design Concepts, Geowest, and Leisure Vision/ETC Institute.
